Morgan Johnson has been selected as the recipient of the 2015 Herb Kohl Excellence Scholarship. Morgan is currently a senior at Kaukauna High School and the center-fielder for the #1 ranked Ghosts softball team. She has played for Kaukauna Ghosts Fastpitch since the age of 7. Morgan will be graduating from Kaukauna High School in June and will be playing U18 softball for the Wisconsin Bandits this summer. Morgan will be attending UW-Stevens Point this fall, pursuing a degree in Athletic Training and an opportunity to compete for the UWSP Softball Team. Morgan submitted a lengthy application last October that focused on the areas of academics, music, athletics, school involvement and community volunteerism. She was among a number of Kaukauna High School applicants that went through a local selection process. Morgan was one of the top 2 applicants for Kaukauna High School that moved on to a regional selection process. Morgan was selected as the top candidate to represent Kaukauna and continue to the state selection process. She was among hundreds of applicants from the State of Wisconsin and was chosen as one of the top 100 recipients to receive a $3,000 scholarship.
